Dyslexia Program
Unlocking Potential Through Personalized Support
Laurel Christian School is proud to offer a dedicated Dyslexia Therapy Program designed to meet the unique needs of high-potential students with a primary diagnosis of dyslexia. This specialized class provides targeted intervention using the Neuhaus Dyslexia Therapy Program, a trusted and research-based approach built on the Orton-Gillingham method.
At the heart of the program is Alphabet Phonics, a structured, sequential, and multisensory curriculum proven effective in helping students build strong reading and language skills. Therapy is provided in a small group setting—no more than five students per class—ensuring personalized instruction and support.
Students in grades 1 through 6 receive therapy four days a week, with each session lasting 45 minutes to one hour, administered by a certified dyslexia therapist. The program is designed to span approximately two to three years, depending on individual progress and needs.
Our goal is to empower students with the tools they need to succeed academically while building confidence in their God-given abilities. Through this program, we are committed to providing an environment where every student can thrive—spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
